Illustration & Paint 2009–2012

Pencil, watercolour, oil paint, Crayola crayon. Before I was a designer I was a kid who drew constantly. One of these ended up in the Hamilton Spectator.

Illustration & Paint 2009–2012

I wanted to be a children's book illustrator when I grew up. These are from that era. High school art classes, experiments with whatever materials I could find, and one sketch that made it into the Hamilton Spectator before I ever touched a computer for design.

The Monami pen one near the bottom is still the piece I'm most proud of making with my hands.

(2011–12) Monami pen. I still don't know how I had the patience for this.
